TMA Can Help Protect Grazing

PRF is an extremely affordable, highly subsidized plan of insurance and offers a great way to offset the cost of additional feed expenses in times of drought.

  • Simple, process with no loss adjustments or record keeping.
  • Protects up to 90% of normal rainfall on grass and hayland.
  • No affect on FSA drought payments.
  • Deadline is November 15, 2018

There are two insurable types through PRF Insurance including grazing and haying acres.

Grazing acres must be:

  • Established acreage for perennial forage
  • Intended for grazing by livestock
  • Acreage must be suitable for grazing
  • Must be planted prior to July 1 of the previous crop year

Haying acres must be:

  • Established acreage for perennial forage
  • Intended for haying
  • Acreage must be suitable for haying
  • Must be planted prior to July 1 of the previous crop year
